Janice knows that working families are struggling; family budgets are being squeezed tighter and tighter by an increased cost of living and by record-breaking inflation. As a councilmember, Janice will work with elected leaders to lower the cost of living for Yorba Linda families. Janice knows how difficult this economy is, as a small business owner herself, she knows that we must keep the economy growing and continue to create good-paying jobs for our residents.

Janice supports small businesses and the local charm that gives Yorba Linda its close-knit community. She is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Jr Ambassadors. The Jr Ambassadors program is a dedicated group of business leaders who promote internships, assist with job placement, and in some cases, help young people start their own small business. As a councilmember, she will promote low business license fees to help others start their own businesses and help with issues like staffing and business grant opportunities.

During the pandemic, she helped local businesses in marketing a campaign, “Shop Where Your Heart Is” along with the Jr Ambassadors. Janice worked with over 150 brick and mortar businesses to assist with social media advertising, promoting their businesses and services, both virtual or in-person.
